2026 European Heritage Days

On September 19 and 20, our airport opened its doors to the public for European Heritage Days. For one weekend, visitors of all ages had the chance to explore behind the scenes: exceptional access to the tarmac, the fire truck, and the control tower was on the programme!

In total, 1,624 visitors came to explore our world, following a route that began at the Espace Air Passion museum, continued with a stop at L’Envol restaurant, and ended with a visit to the Angers Marcé flying club.

On Sunday, firefighters from the SDIS 49 were on hand to share their expertise and explain in detail how a pélicandrome (aerial firefighting water station) works to our curious visitors.

A huge thank you to all the teams involved in making this such a wonderful day of sharing and discovery!

And a special round of applause to our two AFIS agents, who skillfully kept both visitors and pilots informed throughout a weekend packed with movement… and emotion!
